Gizem AlioÄŸlu Çakmak

Dr. Gizem AlioÄŸlu Çakmak is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Yeditepe University. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Political Science and International Relations from the same university. In 2012 she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled "Europeanization of Greek Foreign Policy: Progress, Challenges, and Strategies." Throughout her studies, she was granted a scholarship from Yeditepe University. Her research interests include Turkish-Greek relations, Europeanization, and minorities. In 2011, she attended a Fall School in Athens called 'Greece and Turkey in a Changing Europe' organized by Sabancı University and the Free University of Berlin, with a grant from the German DAAD foundation. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Panteion University (Athens) (October 2015- September 2016), where she collaborated with Alexis Heraclides and carried out research on 'The Europeanization of minority rights in Greece.' She has written various articles and book chapters. She was a co-editor of the Routledge book published in 2019 entitled Greece and Turkey in Conflict and Cooperation: from Europeanization to De-Europeanization. For the last five years, she has been the advisor of more than fifty social responsibility projects conducted by the Department of Political and Science and International Relations students.
Cengiz EriÅŸen

Dr. Cengiz EriÅŸen is a Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Yeditepe University. He received his PhD from Stony Brook University and is trained in political behavior, public opinion research, quantitative methods, and experimental design. EriÅŸen has continuously worked on unboxing the multitudinal nature of behavioral mechanisms from the lens of affect and emotions. He has written extensively on the behavioral foundations of democratic attitudes, evaluations, and judgments. Two of his books extensively explore the standing of democratic values in the Turkish public. First one is a co-edited book with Paul Kubicek, Democratic Consolidation in Turkey: Micro and Macro Challenges, published by Routledge. Second one is a single authored book, Political Behavior and the Emotional Citizen: Participation and Reaction in Turkey, published by Palgrave. Dr. EriÅŸen has received the 2014 Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) GEBÄ°P Award, the 2014 Science Academy Young Scientist (BAGEP) award, and the 2018 TÜBÄ°TAK Incentive Award.

Selin TürkeÅŸ Kılıç

Selin TürkeÅŸ-Kılıç is Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Yeditepe University, Ä°stanbul, Turkey. She received her B.A in International Relations from Bilkent University (2004) and integrated Ph.D. in Political Science from Sabancı University, Turkey (2012). She worked at the University of Deusto, Bilbao, Spain as a Marie Curie Early Stage Research Fellow (2011-2012). She was a visiting researcher at ARENA, University of Oslo, Norway in Spring 2010. She has been the coordinator of EUDIOC Jean Monnet Module (2019-2022). Her research focuses on the argumentative processes in the foreign policy-making of the European Union and Turkey.
